Holiday Season!
The Holidays were so good to us. What a fun and special time of year. We truly love being with are friends and family and cherish the memories we made this year! We are so grateful for our Savior and all the blessings we have in our lives. Thanksgiving was at D's house this year. It was yummy!! Nat sure knows how to cook a turkey bird. My dad was able to be with us which was a special treat. We sang a little bit of grandmas turkey song, ate some delicious food, had a home- run derby, and best of all announced our bun in the oven( baby hughes). It was such an awesome day. We truly have so much to be thankful for! Christmas was such a blast this year. We celebrated at Cody's which was such a treat. The kids (Collin,Kenz, and baby Will) made it so exciting and we all truly felt the Christmas spirit. The Nativity performance was definitely one of my favorites. We had lots of laughs, good food, golf, presents, and love. Thank you Hughes Family for being so amazing.
Best miracle news ever!!
Ryan and I were anticipating getting Invitro on Dec.8, 2011. We were so excited since we have wanted and been trying to have a sweet little baby for about four years. I had gone through fertility treatment the previous year doing shots, medication, and different testing with no success. We knew the next step was IVF. We found a docter in Las Vegas and were excited and felt lucky that we were able to go through with the process. We had a few more shows before the procedure. I had gotten everything ready medication ordered, blood work, Dr appts. We were doing a show in Germany where I was supposed to start the medication. I had not had a period and was so worried that this was going to mess up the surgery date and whole process. I had been super tired and felt a little different then usual. I thought it was due to all the long hours of travel to Germany. I luckily had a dollar store pregnancy test in my suitcase and decided to take it just in case. I had taken so many and been devastated but this time I saw two faint lines which had never happened. I didn't know whether to jump for joy or cry the lines were quite faint. I could barely tell Ryan we were both so excited but wanted to take another test the next day to be sure. So that's what we did. Boy, it seemed like a long day. I couldn't sleep. I took the test the next morning and it was loud and clear POSITIVE. We were beyond happy and excited. Our hearts were so full.We were laughing hugging in unbelief that we were going to have a precious baby. We could not stop smiling and don't think we will be able to stop. It is still hard to believe and is truly a miracle in our lives. We feel so blessed to start a family and have a baby. We are thankful for everyones thoughts and prayers.I am due July 10, 2012. This is truly the best news ever for the Hughes Crew:)
Cabin Fever
My mom took us all to an amazing cabin in Duck Creek to have a little reunion with my brothers and the kiddos! It was such a blast. We were able to fish, ride the razor, have a scavenger hunt, eat lots of yummy food, hike in the caves, play in the snow, roast smores, and laugh a lot! It is always so fun and special to be together as a family. Thanks so much mom for the awesome trip and fun memories!!
